ALEXANDRA SMITH
CEO
Alex Smith is CEO of FuturePlus, empowering businesses to achieve ambitious environmental and social impact through accessible sustainability solutions.
A passionate sustainability advocate, she serves as trustee for the Better Coffee Foundation and is a TEDx speaker inspiring widespread adoption of sustainable practices across industries.

POLLY MILNE
COO
Polly Milne is COO of FuturePlus, leading the company’s operations and advisory services.
With over fourteen years of experience in project management, logistics, and operations across investment advisory, conservation, and sustainable agriculture, she drives strategic sustainability solutions for businesses seeking meaningful environmental and social impact.
She holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from the Science Policy Research Unit (SPRU), University of Sussex.

ELLEN HUGHES
HEAD OF CONSULTANCY
From Parliament to sustainability tech, Ellen has spent her career translating complex problems into actionable solutions.
Ellen leads FuturePlus’ amazing consultancy team, partnering with clients to drive sustainability transformation from strategy through to delivery.
She is a former Government adviser and PISEP/REnvP qualified, with corporate sustainability experience across a range of sectors.

MOLLY TODD
CARBON AND SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTANT
As our Sustainability & Carbon Consultant, Molly helps organisations design practical climate strategies.
With six years’ experience in sustainability management, ESG reporting, and strategy development, Molly turns complex data into clear, actionable plans.
After nearly a decade working with hospitality and food businesses, as well as a Master’s degree in Sustainable Food and Natural Resources, Molly brings a grounded perspective on supply chains and sustainability.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find her hiking with her dog.

SOPHIE DAVIES
SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTANT
Sophie guides companies through the complexities of sustainability strategy and reporting development, leading the Impact Reporting team at FuturePlus.
Her academic background provides a unique breadth, ranging from Sustainable Global Dynamics (Durham University) to specific, practical applications like sustainability management in fashion supply chains. By combining this knowledge with specialised training from the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership (CISL) and Environmental Impacts Academy, she delivers practical sustainability action plans and comprehensive, stakeholder-focused impact reports.
Having joined FuturePlus in the early days, just six months after its 2021 launch, Sophie is one of our longest-standing employees.

ANA BIEDERMANN VILLAGRA
SUSTAINABILITY CONSULTANT
Ana has over 10 years of experience in Corporate Sustainability, spanning consulting and in-house roles.
Her expertise includes sustainability strategy, stakeholder engagement, human rights due diligence, and social impact assessment. Ana has supported organisations in sectors such as sport, fashion, and F&B to strengthen their sustainability performance and partnerships, fostering collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.
She holds a Master’s in Social Innovation from UCL. Outside of work, Ana loves playing and watching women’s football.

SAM SWEENEY
SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER
With experience from roles across financial analytics, strategy consultancy, and political volunteering, Sam joined FuturePlus as a Sustainability Executive to help companies define and achieve their ESG goals.
After delivering advisory and consultancy projects for a range of clients, he now manages our amazing Sustainability Team as we support the FuturePlus community.
Sam holds a BA in PPE, and an MSc in International Business from Durham University, and in his spare time he enjoys playing football, going to the theatre, and cooking.

SAMI SPICE
SUSTAINABILITY MANAGER
Our Sustainability Manager, Sami, is passionate about creating meaningful change within the sustainability and social impact sector.
With over 10 years experience across international project delivery, supply chain scoping, relationship management, and customer success, Sami provides her clients and the Sustainability Team with exceptional leadership and support. She holds a BA in English Literature from the University of Exeter and also completed the University of Cambridge’s Business Sustainability Management course.
Outside of work, Sami enjoys volunteering and spending time with her family and dogs.

JOE STEIN
SUSTAINABILITY EXECUTIVE
With a Master’s in Economics, Joe has a strong interest in data analysis, problem solving, and research.
In the previous two years at FuturePlus, Joe supported clients at various stages of their sustainability journeys – from developing sustainable investment strategies to supporting carbon reporting and policy implementation.
Outside of work, Joe enjoys bouldering, travelling, craft beer, and karaoke.

LOUISA HOY
SUSTAINABILITY EXECUTIVE
Louisa began her time at FuturePlus in 2023 on a work placement after completing an integrated MSc in Marine Biology at the University of Southampton.
One year later, Louisa returned as an intern and is now a key member of the Sustainability Executive team, working with a variety of clients and building on skills in carbon accounting and consultancy.
Louisa is a keen reader and co-runs the FuturePlus book club, alongside playing netball and going to the cinema.

LUCY HOBDAY
SUSTAINABILITY EXECUTIVE
As an integral member of the Sustainability team, Lucy uses her background in ESG strategy, legislation, and policy to help companies measure and increase their positive impact.
Building upon a BA in History & Politics and an MSc in Sustainability, Lucy is passionate about research, developing her knowledge of international frameworks, and carbon accounting.
In her spare time, she enjoys interior design, and the quarterly team karaoke.
