Chichester District Council’s fully-funded Sustainability Accelerator programme is returning for a second year!
Designed to empower businesses across the Chichester district to understand, measure, manage and improve their sustainability practices, this year’s programme will focus on the themes of Adaptation and Resilience.

What is FuturePlus?
FuturePlus is a revolutionary, sustainability self-management tool. Helping your organisation to understand, manage, and measure sustainability ambitions, FuturePlus supports and enables your transition through every process, from putting simple, actionable plans in place to developing comprehensive ESG reports.
Why should I take part?
As part of the programme, you’ll gain free access to an expert sustainability Adviser for 12 months, as well as a rich stream of templates and tools, instant access to IMPACT CERTIFIED accreditation, a personalised sustainability “to-do list” and downloadable Impact Report for your business.
What is the time commitment?
You will have access to the programme for up to 12 months. The time commitment ranges from a few hours to one day per month, and this can be spread between different team members.
How do I apply?

What sort of help will I receive?
Participants will gain access to their own expert sustainability Advisor – think of us like your outsourced sustainability department! – as well as a series of guides, toolkits, workshops, webinars, and personalised guidance to help you assess your current sustainability status, set future goals, and the tools to achieve meaningful progress.
Is there a cost?
Chichester District Council is funding the programme, so there are no direct costs to businesses involved.
Who can apply?
Any established and trading SME businesses with at least 2 FTE and commercial premises physically based within the Chichester District Council area can apply. You can use this tool to check: Find your local council on GOV.UK.
If your businesses is not in commercial premises, you must have arrangements with associates based in the district / local area.
Who should attend?
For smaller businesses, ideally, the Owner / Founder. Other relevant roles may include your Head of Operations, Finance, HR or Marketing.
Can more than one person from the organisation participate?
Yes, 2-3 using the platform works well.
Do I need to go for accreditation?
Every business that participates receives instant access to the IMPACT CERTIFIED accreditation. The badge can be used on email footers, marketing materials, websites, packaging etc.
I’m already considering another sustainability certification or programme. Is there a benefit in doing this as well?
FuturePlus is itself a globally aligned certification used by hundreds of businesses worldwide.
